Maybe an explanation of the difference between the TRP and BB7.

The BB7 is a single piston caliper: it has a piston only on one side that push against the disc and makes the caliper tilt so that the other side of the caliper also push against the disc. This isn't very efficient, it was used long time ago on hydraulic disc brakes too but disappeared replaced by double piston. The only advantage of this design is that its cheaper than double piston.

The TRP is a double piston mechanical disc brake with a piston on both sides of the caliper/disc.
