So for my curiosity, what's the mileage you put on a chainring in a couple of years?
A couple of years on the primary bike is 6-7k per year, so that falls in line with WhyFi thinking. That includes racing and training. I'm always above 8,000 a year, but don't differentiate between bikes. Plus, I run Red rings, and can find those at a fairly reasonable price, so I think I change them more often than I even need to.
