if your rear dropouts are 126mm, I’d get 7400 for freewheels. If the dropouts are 130, I’d get 7700 for cassettes. If the current hubs are Uniglide, you could match them and grab a couple cassettes for future use. Others here are more familiar with 7-8 speed D.A. Compatibility issues. It can get tricky. So far I’ve skipped the tricky stuff by having only friction or 9-10 speed.
