One of the harder to accept habits about bicycling is the use of a tire pump almost every ride to top off your tires. I have worn out several floor pumps over the decades and expect to wear out a couple more, the universe willing.
Why is it hard to accept? I’m not aware of a pneumatic tire system on any vehicle that holds air forever. Topping off bike tires is just part of the routine. It’s not a big deal.
