How hard is hooking the shifting cables up to the derailers, and actually getting them to function properly?
The instructions from Shimano are fairly complete, plus the "Free To Cycle" YouTube channel has several very good videos that cover it very well. The front is fiddlier than it needs to be, IMO, but it's not difficult.
