The rain stopped, whatever snow we had happened while I wasn't looking, and the temperature stayed commendably above freezing, in the low 40s by the early afternoon when I took the Sam Hillborne and rode East. It was windy, though.
This was my more-or-less weekly hills-and-traffic drill through Arlington, Medford, Malden, Melrose, and Stoneham; some other towns get thrown in from time to time, for variation, but not today. Time was a little short today, and I cranked along rather than stopping for pictures. It was a cloudy day, and this seemed to accelerate nightfall. Here's a bit of the sky over Melrose.
Night fell entirely too soon. December's like that in Eastern Massachusetts, of course. The Kurukulla Center is showing winter lights on the stupa and elsewhere. This is cheery, and adds a little Vajrayana mojo to the surrounding Christmas lights. Showing a light in a dark time is fundamental. People from the Land of Snows know about that.
West Medford: waiting for a train.
