Broke a spoke on my MTB yesterday. I'm pretty sure it was impact from a rock that was bouncing along the fireroad descent we were on. It's a bummer, but I'm REALLY impressed with these Stan's Podium SRD wheels - super light (1300g), carbon rims, and way more durable than expected. Despite the low spoke count and low profile rim, the wheel stayed pretty true, even missing a spoke. Granted, a disc brake wheel only needs to be true enough so the tire doesn't rub the frame, but it didn't seem significantly different than when it had all its spokes. I pulled the rest of the spoke out through the hub, and finished my ride with zero issues.
