In 2001 and 2002, Campagnolo offered Record with either Differential or standard (i.e. non-differential) brakesets. The standard Record brakeset wasn't discontinued until the 2003 model year. So, there were actually 3 years where you could get dual pivot front and rear calipers with Record 10 speed. If it's a 2003 team bicycle, there's a good probability that the rider decided to use his old, 2002 brakeset.
