Kind of going for both, cleanliness is nice and I deal with far fewer chemical cleaners now I've got it up and running, and the time spent cleaning bikes has reduced. Any efficiency gains are nice-to-haves, but since this is the track forum and I don't want to derail things too far. Other people might have input from running waxed chains on their track bikes, which I've only just begun doing.
