Also check how the crank from the Motobecane fits on the VO BB. I'd been under the impression that ISO & JIS were 'close enough' that it wouldn't matter, particularly putting and ISO crank on a JIS spindle, but....no. My Stronglight 93 does not want to seat on the VO BB in an acceptable manner- the arms are a good 5mm further out on each side than they ought to be...
