"Bicycle is the slow death of the planet." Maybe. The automobile is the far faster way to get there. Climate change, paving the earth's surface with asphalt and concrete. Associated pollution affecting trees (the O2 machines) etc. (I won't include what that pollution and car accidents are doing to us because every time the auto takes one of use, it gives the Earth just a tiny bit more breathing room.)
