I've got a pair of JBL Studio 530s on my desk, which are huge but surprisingly good for near-field listening. No fancy amp though, just some Klipsch powergate dac that was on sale
Not mine but for an idea of the size on a desk:
I also have a ridiculously oversized subwoofer hooked up because I went a different direction for the home theater setup and had to put it *somewhere*, but I usually leave it off while working unless I'm really jamming on something. It's almost as tall as the desk and gets silly loud
