I wear my glasses under the straps. I've pulled my glasses off my head when removing the helmet when I wore the glasses outside the straps. I've never accidentally yanked the helmet off my head by wearing my glasses the "wrong" way.
Strap over the glasses, both helmet and glasses feel quite secure because it's really being on both sides of the ears and under the jaw that secures the helmet straps. Put anything between the glasses and my head, however, and it's bound to knock the glasses loose. Me losing my glasses while riding would be a disaster--I'd basically be blind.
