Gas/fuel was cheap enough that it gave extra money to pay the tarrifs 100x over on bike parts.

I like litebicycle. Pick your spoke , pick your nipples, pick your hole #, pick your hub. Pick straight, pick j bend. Pick your hoop, hook less or hooked, offset or no. Pick your internal width. Pick your depth.

Basically get what you want instead of compromise.
