Yeah, they aren't terribly complicated pieces. If one has the time, materials, sewing machine, and inspiration, they can be made at home. You'll likely spend more than the cost of some BLS or even NJS straps in doing so, though, with the purchase of all of the materials and expense of multiple prototypes.
