Today I took my new bike build on a shake down ride doing the Griffith Observatory hill climb. Everything is spot on except I didn't anticipate alignment issues using a flat mount fork with post disc brakes + adapter. I swapped the Shimano adapter I initially had for some cheap Amazon post adapter and it has more slack to just barely put my calipers into alignment. I called Pasadena Cyclery and they said they can face the mount, but highly recommend I swap to flat mount calipers instead.

Even with the brake issue, the bike is a few pounds lighter than my alloy bike and is definitely faster on the flats due to the higher gear range and perhaps lighter frame. I added some of my preferred gravel cues like the flared drop bars and GravelKing SS tires (in blue), but I actually consider this more of my road bike!
