You can get a Shimano Acera crankset and Shimano BB for $45.

They want to charge $150 for what is likely lesser quality than Shimano's CHEAPEST crankset and BB.

They are taking advantage of you, without a doubt.

You can buy the tools needed for installation, AND better parts for less than $100. Just take your time and make sure you're not cross-threading when installing your BB.

Or, find a shop that is trustworthy. Either way, I'd tell them to "get bent".

* If it's a single speed that you need, expect to pay $30-40 more for a Shimano or Sram crankset. Still a better deal and better quality than some no-name eBay stuff though.
