Not weird at all.

10mm is one the most common size bolts and nuts on bikes and cars; hence, one of the most common sizes for people to use, to carry, and also to lose. For instance, my bike front and rear brake calipers and also rear rack have 10mm bolts and nuts, that I keep tightening and adjusting quite often. I have a big Crescent mechanic toolset that comes with all sizes of sockets, including 10mm, but an extra 10mm socket or wrench doesn't hurt, so you don't have to take one out of the mechanical toolset and worry about losing it. Oh well! I kept this one I found on the road in my bike kit.
