Thursday I had, or thought I had, a couple of hours in the mid-afternoon, so I rode the Sam Hillborne out to Depot Park and back. "You are here."
The vernal pools that looked so dry during last year's drought are pooling nicely again.
Trees were down everywhere I looked. This one looked a bit like a whale skeleton I once saw in a museum.
The horses looked like themselves, and looked calm, in the way horses can, basking in the sunny afternoon.
Meanwhile, in my neighbor's front yard, the crocuses are blooming. Must be Spring....
