Disaster, at the valve stem. Only tubular flats in years. Both were Zipps, both with sealant, both at the valve stem.
Yeah, I'm familiar with sealant thinking up valve stems and am prepared to deal with it. Generally, I can clean them out, but sometimes you need to replace them. That didn't seem to be the cause for either tires' failure in this situation.
I suppose an autopsy is in order.
