oneclick Four of my bikes are set up with Campagnolo 8-speed Ergos. A give away for the old (1.4 pull) Campagnolo rear derailleurs is the presence of a B-screw near the attachment/anchor bolt. The new (1.5 pull) rear units have B-tension screw at the upper jockey wheel/pulley. Rear derailleurs marked as 9-speed can be new or old style. For example, I have a long cage derailleur marked 9-speed with a B-screw at the attachment bolt......it works perfectly with the 8-speed Ergo shifters. 'Hope this helps.
