A decade ago, this thread would not have been tolerated by most members of the forum. Indexed shifting was bad enough but brifters were considered even worse and if it was Shimano's STI, it was considered the equivalent of selling your soul to the devil. It would be nice to think that the forum at large, is becoming more tolerant, if not enlightened, but it's really just the constant shift in demographics

classic frame and nice modern running gear....now if they could just do a modern version in alloy. I have at least drawn the line at threadless stems
of course I still have a more traditional 84 team miyata so I don't feel i am pushing the limit too far (bit of an embarrassment of riches to have two team miyata's)
