Here's the latest iteration of my Specialized Expedition. I built it up with wide, compact bars to better handle the occasional dirt trails, and cheap Kenda K830 tires with a "mocha" sidewall. The tires where an experiment, they work well but are much smaller than the advertised 38mm width, measuring 32mm wide and 35mm tall. It's also got a new Sora rear derailleur and a beat up Avocet Touring, it would have been stock.

There's something so special about these bikes. I recall someone recently not liking the "battleship grey" but I think that's a huge draw to the "business" of that bike.
How heavy is it? I have a Stumpjumper Sport- I know that was towards or at the bottom of the Specialized lineup back then- it still had some nice components, but it's a bit of a tank. Whenever I see the Expedition, I think 'that looks heavy' because of the vague resemblance to my Stumpjumper.
