Isn't that the reason most people use public transportation, whether they are car free or not, it's considered better by the traveler (more convenient, economical, timely or whatever) than the available alternatives for that specific trip?
Is commuting to work or school by public transportation when it is more convenient than using the family car now the new definition of "car free living"?
