l have an open space behind my house that I throw the pits in. One started and was about 6' tall when a work crew cut it making a fire setback. Maybe you could hybrid one with a maple tree and get some avocado syrup.
My MIL
loved her avocados and threw the pits all over the front and back yards. Two years later I still find an occasional sprout. I'd let one grow, but it doesn't get hot enough long enough for them to do anything.
