Pretty much what I'm going to do, but going to use an Aeria Ultimate stem. It is a plate using the three original stem mount holes then a cylinder off of the plate to mount the stem on as usual. I ordered the shortest Aeria stem so I don't gain any reach I can't dial back in the arm pads and extensions.
