I'm hoping to ride the C&O/GAP this year but the only time I have available will mean that Labor Day weekend will fall somewhere in the middle of my ride. I would prefer to postpone rather than deal with hoards of people. Does anyone have an idea of how crowded it is likely to be at that time? If I'm able to ride the more remote section(s) during that time will it make a significant difference?
