London to Windsor Cycle for Prostate Cancer Research

Join the Prostate Cancer Research Centre on a cycle from London to Windsor and help us to fund world class scientists, researching into new therapies and treatments for men living with advanced prostate cancer.

3rd September 2017

Starting in Richmond Green, this late summer cycle takes you through the pretty villages of the Thames Valley all the way to Alexandra Gardens in Windsor. You can take part in a 55 and 37 mile on the road route, or a shorter 29 mile route that includes some towpaths. The short route has a family friendly option, allowing you to cycle through Windsor Great Park to the finish. At the finish, you'll find everything you need to celebrate by the river - food, beer, music, and even a sports massage.

Who We Are

The Mission of PCRC is to develop new therapy for men with advanced prostate cancer. The immediate goal is to increase survival and our vision is a cure for the disease.
The Prostate Cancer Research Centre is the only charity solely focused on funding world class scientists developing new treatments for advanced prostate cancer.

Why is PCRC important?
Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men. Over 11,000 men die every year in the UK and the number increases every year.
Advanced prostate cancer is treated with hormone therapy, developed in the 1940s. Hormone therapy is still the primary and most effective treatment for advanced prostate cancer. Consequently, survival rates have improved little over the last 70 years. New and more effective therapy is urgently needed.
We are dedicated to improving the survival of the next generation of men and better treatment can only come through research.
