Will it help prevent resin pads from glazing over? Or do I just have crappy rotors that make that happen?

I try to sand the pads with ~220 grit paper and hit the rotors with steel wool, then clean the rotors with mineral spirits. I can bed the pads and things work great for a while, then it seems like all of a sudden they start sounding like a pissed off Canada goose and lose most of their effectiveness. Haven't ridden my MTB in like a month or so because I just don't want to deal with it.
Cook the contamination off your pads in a gas flame for 20-30 seconds. Has never failed for me...until I sweat on them or ride through an oily puddle again.
