As long as we're posting pics of Old and New in a trainer setup:
Since taken have used both a repainted '87 Schwinn Tempo and powder coated '88 Cannondale ST with the Neo 2T trainer, but of course they all have downtube shifters. I sweat like crazy so the fanes are required, as is a towel laid under the bike and another across the handlebars. A quick wipedown afterwards keeps any rust/corrosion from developing.
