[QUOTE=formulaben]When it arrived, it was ridable after putting more air in the tires. The warranty isn't validated until you take it to a dealer to have a safety check, but I've put nearly 100 miles on it, and aside from a small tweak of the brakes, it was ready to roll.
How does that work? What dealer would want to do a safety check on a bike that is bought on-line?
I have a Speed TR coming tomorrow (I hope) from Dahon, and I thought it would just be warranteed without any sort of inspection. I know a dealer in Berkeley who'd do it for me, but that's a heck of a trip.
I have to get some of those pedals you got from Harris. I also saw some slightly different ones at:
"http://gaerlan.com/bikeparts/parts/pedal/pedals.html" and these are also sold by Dahon. I can't stand not having toe clips. OTOH, I've successfully put PowerGrips ("https://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=&subcategory=&brand=&sku=1270&storetype=&estoreid=&pagename=")
onto folding plastic pedals with a bit of surgery.
