Looks like an early 70's Grand Prix, about a 23 inch frame. My first road bike was a '71 Grand Prix, they were pretty low on the Raleigh roster but still seem to have quite a following. I've been looking for one like my old one for quite awhile and they seem to bring a lot more than they should, or maybe i should say more than I'm willing to pay. Just a personal observation but the ones I've seen from that era without the black band on the top tube were built in Belgium and those with it were built in Nottingham or Ireland. That doesn't mean that's a fact or a hard and fast rule, I'm talking a pretty small sample size and I could be completely wrong.
I am interested in Raleighs built in Belgium. Were they completely manufactured there, or assembled from parts built elsewhere?
