It’s not unusual for boats to withdraw in ocean races. They get damaged, have equipment failures, and people get hurt.

If you scroll back on the time to about 0820 today you can rule out a collosion betweent the two. The Restive was a number of "nm" ahead of the Jettie. It turned around first.
