After I discovered steel frames didn't jack hammer me over my local crumbling streets the way my 99 Cannondale R800 did I then stumbled onto the Riv site and lusted heavily over the lugged frames, I had not yet discovered the wonderful world of C&V and couldn't pony up for a Riv so I got a 2009 Handsome Devil frame-set out of the Twin Cities. It got built up with lots of steer tube for higher bars, lots of silver components, bar end shifters and a Brooks B.17. Its still my workhorse and has evolved from Sugino triple, to a IRD compact double and for the last 6 years its been a 1x9. Show here as compact double incarnation:
