I don't use it. Never needed it.
If you wear cotton underwear under your bibs or shorts while you ride, you will need a lot of it. Also seems to help if you keep hair down there short and groomed! <grin>
FYI, on the cheap Chicago Schwinn's I had from the 70's all the way up to and including the Varsity, their saddles were crap. Don't know if your Passage is one of those, but that saddle in the pic sure gives me some painful memories.
