These tires were still a PITA to take off and remount after several hundred miles.
The VAR jack is compact enough to carry on rides. Works great.

I wouldn't be surprised if the damage to the bead interface wasn't due to the mounting difficulty. Not your fault; you have to do what you have to do to get it on, but they are simply making that tire too small, and it can't withstand the stress
