Put another way, as much as basketball players practice free throws, if seeding for the 68-slot NCAA Tournament* were based on a "Free Throw Competition",
there would be a HELLUVA lot of focus put on training for free throws.
*For non-US folks, this is the big annual tournament of 64 teams for the National Championship. It's on par with the professional world championship.
