Oh yeah, I get that all the time: Someone heading in the opposite direction yells "Hi Bob!" ...and I barely even
noticed there was someone riding in the opposite direction, much less who it was.
Hell, for all I know they
don't know me and they're just goofing and got lucky, 'cuz "Bob" is an inherently funny name to yell. (When I was in high school in late 1970s we would drive around downtown Nyack, NY on a Friday or Saturday night and yell "Hey Frankie!" at every group of teenagers we passed. Someone
always yelled back "What? Who is that?!?")
