That's not one of the standard failures leading to "have to replace instead of repair the tube." Assuming you don't flat on the way home, how are you going to release the air so you can swap the tube out?
I think I can poke something thin down into the valve to push the pin down and release the air. Something like a bent paper clip would probably do the trick.
If that doesn't work, I'll probably just take a dremel to the stem. Probably don't need to cut it all the way off, just get a hole in the stem and the air will release.
