The shoulder was 3-4 feet wide the whole trip and clean too! In the pic with the guard rail, the shoulder was even wider as you can see, it was at a swampy area with a small bridge about thirty yards in front of my bike. Wide enough for me to stop & take a break and still stay far from the traffic of which there wasn't much on a Friday morning.
