when I started this whole thing it made sense. Sell, current home, combine profit with savings. Pay cash for home. No mortgage. Done. sit back and enjoy.
Now,, If I put 95%of my savings on my mortgage right now I would be around 25k short. But a small short term mortgage, and done.
But now smaller home pricing is approaching what I accepted for my home. Well, eff that. It was Suggested I look at getting a small mortgage for the new home. Wtf? Then why not do the refi, and save me the trouble of moving?
. Its all getting kinda pointless now.
That's why we are staying put. We have way more house than we need, but to go smaller wouldn't really enable us to pocket any real money.
