As I often point out/remind USA had the best juniors in the world in 2015 (won UCI Nation's Cup). The talent is absolutely there, the desire is not, and I understand why.
Mexico has won two U-17 soccer World Cups, yet the senior squad never does all that well. I am not sure that youth performance necessarily translates to senior level performance, desire or not.
