I find that I'm pushing so hard in a TT that it wouldn't matter if my saddle was made out of puppies or thumbtacks. My ass is mostly unweighted from the seat.

As for getting used to the TT position, that'll depend on how different your TT position is from your road bike position. I have mine set up so that my hip angle and leg extension are nearly identical to my road bike, as I don't ride my TT bike enough to get used to another position, and it seems to work for me.
