Hadn't though of that. Almost the whole ride was on country streets with no shade, and I mean no shade. Wouldn’t be surprised if the tarmac generated that much heat.
Yeah, I almost never look at the temp reads from my rides, but when I do, there are always a handful of readings way higher than the ambient.
