I added an adjustable stem (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001C65VVE/..._26725410_item) and raised it to the highest position, about 1.5 inches higher than the stock stem. My back and palms were noticeably less sore and numb (respectively) after my first 10 mile commute. Can't wait to see how they feel after a longer 25 mile recreational ride this weekend.
