The advantage of Crazyguy is that it has a singular focus on bike touring. One doesn't have to search the blogosphere to find touring journals. I agree that the format is outdated, but it serves a purpose and is easy to use. As long as the control of CGOAB remains in the hands of one cash strapped developer, the format is not going to change any time soon, so those of us who are content to use it for what it offers will continue to post journals and photos there.

I would also suggest that this thread (or a thread dedicated to touring photos) be made a sticky like the loaded bicycle photo thread.
