I have been doing the "hanging by the arms" thing for a minute or two a day. My back has not felt this good, since my first slipped / ruptured disc at age 27. Hanging dramatically improves circulation, and relieves all the places in your back, neck and shoulders that have tension stored up in them like a spring.
A friend of mine in his 70's tried climbing a tree for the first time in decades, and tore tendons in his shoulders, which probably can't ever be repaired. I would like to avoid this type of thing, if possible.
