Did a service on the Mavic front wheel today. The hub was very much ready for new grease. After removing the dust cover, the bearings were filthy, and gave the appearance of being coated with oily grit instead of grease.
The bearing cups had a bit of pitting, but once clean and packed with fresh grease the wheel spins pretty well.
