My mom decided she wanted a bike after I got the rest of the family riding again, and she really liked the look of the dual top tubes on my girlfriend's mixte. Something at the level of a Motobecane Grand Jubilee would be great, but I realize 650b mixtes less common. My mom's not super picky but if I could find something with lighter-weight tubing I'm sure she'd be appreciative.
I was looking at a lovely Centurion mixte from probably the late 70's and thought about your ask. The problem will be brake reach... you may have to use dropbolts.
Now this Centurion was designed around 630 wheels so it may take a fat 700c. I'm going to look at it again on Sunday.
