Had a half crash this morning, bike ended up on the ground but me somehow on my feet. Very slick patch of black ice before a puddle with broken ice. I was expecting the puddle might give me a problem not the dark spot created by the splash of vehicles that broke up that puddle.
I'm always impressed with my ability to unclip in an instant, without even having to think about it. Somewhere within my 128,000 km of clipless riding it became second nature. It would probably take me longer to get my foot off a flat pedal since they are so much larger.
